List Of Nationalities Are Permitted To Obtain Tourist Visa On Their Arrival At The Immigration Checkpoints In Thailand And Once They Were Granted With Tourist Visa They Will Be Admitted Into The Kingdom And Can Stay For 15 Days :- BHUTAN CHINA, PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC and TAIWAN CZECH REPUBLIC CYPRUS HUNGARY, Rep. of INDIA KAZAKHSTAN, Rep. of MALDIVES MAURITIUS OMAN RUSSIA SAUDI ARABIA POLAND, Rep. of UKRAINE. If you are only eligible for a 30 day visa, you can apply and get a 60 day visa in advance. If you overstay your visa you are looking at 200Bht per day overstay. To get an extension on your visa, you may want to go across the border and come back; Laos - overnight to Nong Khai; Thai embassy/consulate in Vientiane, just over the border. You`ll need a visa to get into Laos though - obtainable at the border, 20 USD in recent US notes or about 30 USD in Thai baht. Malaysia - further to go, nearest consulates are Kota Bharu and Penang, embassy in KL. No visa required (hence no charge) to cross into Malaysia (depending on your nationality). If you go this way by bus, be careful; a lot of people are getting ripped off when they switch buses / travel companies mid-way (esp in SuratThani).
