Although it is no longer the Royal residence, The Grand Palace remains, the symbol of the Kingdom of Thailand. You will visit the key attractions around the Grand Palace including Wat Phra Kaew (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha), The Royal Pantheon, Coronation Throne Hall, The Royal Reception Hall, and The Royal Funeral Hall. |

Bangkok (area) Morning departure to Kanchanaburi to visit the famous Bridge over the River Kwai. Next we move on to Tiger temple where, if you wish, you can go in with real live tigers (as pictured to the right) |

Bangkok (area) Khao Yai National Park, lies about 175 km Northeast of Bangkok and is Thailand’s best known national park. Covering 2172 square kilometers of protected forest, jungle and grassland, was declared a nature reserve with over 153 different species of animals, that are protected by law. En-route to the park we stop in Nakhon Nayok province at a local fruit market where you can enjoy mango, rambutans and many more exotic fruits. Afterwards continue to the National Park for a walk along one of the marked trails among the mountains, forests, streams and waterfalls. After lunch drive through the park heading to Pakchong Creek for the experience of elephant riding. Here you will experience a 45 minute elephant ride with a trusted mahout through the lush forest on the back of an elephant. Return to Bangkok in the later afternoon. Elephant ride. We recommend bookings for this tour to be made as far ahead as possible to secure the elephant ride. The capacity for the elephant ride is limited and especially the weekends can be fully booked long in advance. |

Bangkok Free day at leisure in and around Bangkok In the evening there is the option of the following Dinner Cruise... Whilst enjoying your evening meal and sipping a drink, you can enjoy the beautiful Bangkok Skyline on both sides of the Chaophraya River on the open air upper deck. You'll be absorbed with the magnificent architecture that elegantly stands on and over the river, along with this, it is beautifully lit to show off all of Bangkoks finery. River boat dinner cruise. A romantic riverboat dinner cruise on board of an old rice barge which has been rebuilt. You will be traditionally welcomed on board of the barge with rose water spray and an odouring jasmine flower necklace. Also you will receive a small book with a reproduction of Thai river life and a description of all attractions that you will pass by this evening. During a quiet and romantic candle lit tour you can enjoy the traditional Kim (Thai xylophone) music. This cruise is a voyage through Thai history, culture and gastronomy along the Chao Phraya river, passing by Wat Arun, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Royal Palace. For your dinner you can choose from three 4-course menus: Thai, Seafood and Vegetarian. Embarkation times: 18:00 hr or 20:10 hr. |
