This is the perfect introduction to Thailand, the Buddhist
faith, its regal splendor and its tradition.
Although it is no longer the Royal residence, The Grand
Palace remains, the symbol of the Kingdom of Thailand.
You will visit the key attractions around the Grand Palace
including Wat Phra Kaew (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha), The
Royal Pantheon, Coronation Throne Hall, The Royal Reception Hall,
and The Royal Funeral Hall. |

The daytime is free.
In the evening you will board an old rice barge for a dinner
cruise on the mighty Chaophraya river.
Whilst enjoying your evening meal and sipping a drink, you
can enjoy the beautiful Bangkok Skyline on both sides of the
Chaophraya River on the open air upper deck.
This cruise is a voyage through Thai history, culture and
gastronomy along the Chao Phraya river, passing by Wat Arun, the
Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Royal Palace.
You'll be absorbed with the magnificent architecture that
elegantly stands on and over the river, along with this, it is
beautifully lit to show off all of Bangkoks finery. |

Bangkok Floating Market excursion
The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a very popular place
for tourists to get a chance to see, feel and smell the old style
and traditional way of selling and buying fruits, vegetables, etc,
from small boats.
You will also see traditional Thai houses, experience the
way they live and travel by boat.
This is a terrific trip. |

Transfer to Bangkok. Flight to Chiang Mai and transfer to
your hotel.

Todays mountain tour starts with a visit to an
elephant-training camp in the beautiful area of Chiang Dao, where
you can witness how these enormous creatures are taught to labor
in the jungle.
From here we go to the cave of Chiang Dao, with its
beautiful white marble statues from Burma.
After lunch we continue by pick-up truck through light
jungle to an Akha and Lisu village.
The terrain here is mountainous and offers a magnificent
view.
From here we walk to a Palong village where you and spend
the night.
Dinner is cooked by the guide. |

Chiang Mai
After breakfast a short walk and an elephant ride of
approximately 1 hour.
After the elephant ride we stop at a camp where bamboo-rafts
are made.
After lunch we will continue the trek on rafts.
You can take the rudder and navigate yourself down the
river.
On the way back to Chiang Mai we visit a small morning
market.
We also visit an orchid-nursery where you can admire some
200 different species (depending on the season) of these beautiful
flowers. |

Checkout and transfer to Chiang Mai Airport.
Flight to Bangkok and onward transfer to your hotel on Koh
Chang.
