Bangkok - Ayutthaya

Morning departure to Bang Pa In, the Kings beautiful summer palace. Onward to Ayutthaya.

From the 14th to 18th centuries, Ayutthaya served as the capital of the central kingdom of Thailand and as its cultural centre.

With influences from Dvaravati, Khmer, Mon, and Lawa cultures, Ayutthaya was able to create its own arts and culture from a delicate blend of those cultures.

During the reigns of 33 kings, Ayutthaya gave Thailand a great number of fine buildings, monuments and works of art.

In 1767 Ayutthaya was completely destroyed by the Burmese.

The remains of this island city are of extreme archaeological importance and the extensively restored historical park in Thailand was selected a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

Countless ruins of palaces, temples and monuments are scattered over the historical park of Ayutthaya.

You will have ample time to visit the most beautiful and impressive places.

In the afternoon transfer to Phitsanulok.

Sukhothai

Founded in the 13th century, Sukothai was the first capital of Thailand (then Siam), which enjoyed a golden age under King Ramkhamhaeng, credited with creating the Thai alphabet.

The superb palaces, temples and monuments of this great city have been lovingly restored in Sukothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see for all travelers.

We will rent bicycles to stroll through this breathtaking and impressive old historical city.

The guide will supply you with a city plan so that you can find your own way in this maze of ruins, city walls, lakes and canals.

Sukhothai - Chiang Mai

Travel along the scenic mountain route from Sukhothai to Chiang Mai.

During the trip the landscape will change gradually as you enter the mountains of the north. Stop on route at the Elephant Conservation Center in Lampang for a short visit.

Onward to Chiang Mai. Checkin your hotel and the rest of the afternoon is free at leisure.

Chiang MaiTrekking day 1

In the morning at eight o’clock you depart in pick-up truck for about 4 hours to the Kok river.

The ride carries you through beautiful nature, rice paddies and various plantations.

After lunch you step into a longtail boat for a trip through the jungle along the Mae Kok river.

On the way you can spot a local village.

We get off at a point where we make a for 2 hour trek to a Lahu village.

In this village the guide prepares dinner and you will spend the night there.

Chiang MaiTrekking day 2

After breakfast we take a hike to some waterfalls where there is an opportunity to take a bath.

From here we continue for about 2 hours to an elephant camp, where we have lunch.

The journey continues by elephant through a mountainous area with some spectacular views.

During the afternoon, we visit a very primitive Akha village where we spend the night.

Chiang MaiTrekking day 3

The last day starts with a short hike to a nearby Chan village.

The Chan are Thais who originally migrated from the Chan state in Burma.

This tribe does not wear traditional clothing.

From here we go to the main road to take the pick-up truck back to Chiang Mai, where we will arrive late afternoon.

Checkout and transfer to Chiang Mai Airport.

Flight to Bangkok and transfer to Hua Hin.

Checkin your hotel, the rest of the day is free at leisure.
