The official currency of Thailand is the Baht
which consists of 100 satang.
Banknotes are valued at 10, 20, 50, 100, 500,
and 1,000 baht.
Currency can also be exchanged at the
airport, banks, hotels and bureaux de change.
ATMs are available in most cities and tourist
resorts.
Most large hotels and shops accept travellers
cheques, but a better rate will be given at banks.
Most major credit cards such as Visa,
MasterCard, Diners Club and American Express, are accepted at
hotels and larger businesses.
Banks are open9.30 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. everyday
expect Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays;
