Welcome to Morocco.

Morocco is located at the northwest of Africa.

It is bordered in the north by the strait of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean sea; to the south by Mauritania; to the east by Algeria and to the west by the Atlantic Ocean.

The dominating weather in Morocco is Mediterranean, temperated in the west and the north by the Atlantic Ocean.

Inside the country, the weather is more continental with significant differences of temperature.

The Atlas area is very humid, it snows frequently. The south has a desert weather.

Morocco is a fabled destination for travellers, known for its spectacular mountain scenery, its colorful bazaars, and its ancient capitals at Fès and Marrakech.

Morocco has the broadest plains and the highest mountains in North Africa.

The Atlas Mountains, the second region, extend across the center of the country from the southwest to the northeast.

The Taza Depression lies between Er Rif and the Atlas Mountains.

Broad coastal plains along the Atlantic Ocean form the third region, framed by Er Rif and the Atlas Mountains.

Finally, plains and valleys south of the Atlas Mountains merge with the Sahara along the southeastern border of Morocco.

The Atlas Mountains consist of several distinct and parallel ranges.

Sandy beaches interrupted by rocky outcrops line the Atlantic coast of Morocco.
