The Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón),
is a glacial river lagoon in Iceland which is part of one of the
shortest rivers in Iceland.
The Glacier lagoon in Iceland is close to
highway number one, about 350 km east from Reykjavík, and
it is told to be one of the greatest wonders of nature in Iceland.
This is lagoon is one of the most recent
caused by a warmer climate change.
The surface is at sea level and sea water flows
into the lagoon at high tide.
Huge blocks of ice constantly break off the
glacier, causing large icebergs to float on the lagoon.
