Park Nacional Podocarpus is located in the province of Zamora Chinchipe, in the South east of Ecuador.

It was restored the 15 of December in 1982.

The national parks purpose today, is one of protecting to the greatest forest of romerillos in the country.

Podocarpus is the only native conifer of Ecuador.

there are unique birds in the area due to the biological means that were developed.

The Park Nacional Podocarpus lodges a complex of more than 100 lagoons, one of the most famous are the Lagoons of the Compadre.

There are also stunning waterfalls and several species of unusual mammals and plants.
