When visiting the south-east Dominican
Republic, you will discover that Altos de Chavon has become one of
the main tourist attractions.
It is set in a beautiful hillside location
above La Romana.
It hardly seems possible that you would find a
completely recreated 16th century southern European village in the
Dominican Republic.
The village has all the detail, character and
charm that such a site requires It looks for all the world as
though it has been magically transported to it's present home.
The amphitheatre of Stops of Chavon seats 5000 people. It
was inaugurated in 1982 and many well-known celebrities, artists
and rock groups have performed here. |
