The UNESCO named the Valley as a Heritage of Humanity in 1988 is located near the city of Trinidad. It is an awesome masterpiece of nature in the mountain massif of the Escambray, which is located in the province of Sancti Spiritus.

There are 77 archaeological sites of which were the birth of the Cuban sugar industry during the Spanish colonization.

There are eleven farmsteads, some of which have been totally reconstructed, others are considered ruins.
