Pre Columbian Museum is sometimes believed to
be best of its kind in all of South America.
It houses ancient ceramics and stone carvings
from approximately 600 BC-800 AD, which will give the visitor a a
glimpse into the mysterious cultures of the time.
The museum also houses intricate, woven
textiles, which have stood the test of time and remained
brilliant in color and complex in design.
There are a vast array of metal objects that
were once employed in religious rituals, displayed in glass cases.
There is also a fascinating and in-depth look at mummy preparation
and if it is archaeology/anthropology that interests you then you
must visit this museum.
The hours of opening are Tues.-Sun. 10 am-6 pm;
Holidays 10 am-2 pm. Children and students are admitted free.
