Druk Air tickets need to be purchased by us on your behalf. We will need to send you the actual tickets before your trip, so please make the necessaryarrangements well before your travel date.

We will also arrange for your Bhutanese visa to be sent well before your travel date, which you will need when you depart the plane in Paro.

It is advisable to present the immigration people with two additional passport photos ( although they rarely ask to see them ) just in case.

If you are planning to stay in the country longer than two weeks you will need to get a visa extension in Thimphu sometime during your trip. The process is simple but you should be aware that you may suddenly be asked to give up your passport for a few days while the extension is being arranged.

Take plenty of cash, and exchange ALL that you think you will use for Bhutanese Ngultrum before leaving the airport in Paro.

Due to the country having no refridgeration facilities it is advisable to avoid eating meat or fish products. The vegatables are all grown locally making them very fresh however.

When buying souveniers we advise that you enlist the help of your guide and driver in selecting good quality. They are aware of the quality but will be too shy to offer advice unless asked to do so. However be discreet as they may not wish to be negative in front of the shopkeeper.

Be sure to pack appropriate clothing for the varying altitudes for comfort.
